Questions

If your question isn't here, ask it on an alignment call or by email.

What does Myopartner do?

We are an independent origination company working internationally. We route capital, talent and dealflow, matching live situations to the mandates that fit them: investors to companies, leaders to businesses, and counterparties to each other.

How is this different from a search firm, placement agent or M&A adviser?

Each of those works one lane. We work all three from one view of the market, so a situation that surfaces in one lane is already known to the other two. A company that has just completed an acquisition can come to us for the capital, the leadership and the partners it needs next.

How does an engagement start?

With an alignment call. We agree your brief in writing: what fits, what doesn't, and who has the authority to act. Then we route qualified situations against that brief.

What is a full mandate?

Capital, talent and dealflow for one company, with advisory support, under a single relationship. It suits a business with several needs at once: after an acquisition, for example, it needs funding for what comes next, a finance leader who can report to new owners, and partners to grow the combined business.

What makes a situation qualified?

It fits the brief we agreed, the timing is right, and authority and live mandate have been confirmed on both sides. Nothing is passed on before that.

How are fees structured?

Fees depend on the lane and the engagement, and are agreed in writing before any work begins. Depending on the work, they may include a retained fee or a success fee.

Do you give advice?

Yes, in talent and dealflow: on succession, board composition and the finance function in talent; and on go-to-market, partnerships and what to review after an acquisition in dealflow. Where we advise, our advice is commercial and is given only to the business we work for. It is not investment, legal, tax or transaction advice.

Are you regulated by the FCA?

No. Myopartner is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and is not registered as a broker-dealer or investment adviser in the United States. We make introductions between businesses and professional counterparties, and we do not give investment advice or arrange investments. Any regulated activity is carried out by appropriately authorised or registered organisations.

How do you handle confidentiality?

Every engagement is covered by a written agreement that includes confidentiality. We share a client's details with a counterparty only as part of an introduction that has been agreed.

Which sectors and regions do you cover?

Our core sectors are financial services, and healthcare and life sciences. We also work in deep technology, energy and environmental, and enterprise software. We work internationally, with clients and counterparties across the UK, Europe, the United States and the Middle East.

Do you work with fractional operators and specialist companies?

Yes. Fractional executives, advisers and specialist companies work with us when their constraint is dealflow rather than capability. We route them qualified situations that match what they do best.
